ABOUT US​

This is a Japanese traditional house, which was hand built by the family over 50 years ago, now the third generation has undertaken a loving full restoration project. This gives you the amazing traditional Japanese architecture and surrounds, with all the modern Japanese amenities. There are 180 degree sea views from every window, and it is surrounded by rich natural forests and farm land. All you can hear is the gentle sway and rustle of the forest, and birdsong which brings you peace and serenity.

Guesthouse Wasabi overlooks Ashibe, giving perfect sunrise's over the ocean every day while being sheltered from the wind and far from any man made noise. Peaceful evenings ensue over a home cooked meal, while enjoying the fine view's and the star filled night sky. 

We have a number of retro gaming consoles for your enjoyment, we can also offer English and Japanese lessons (By arrangement). We have also built a tree-house in for you to swing in a hammock or sit and read in peace. We will happily collect you when you arrive at Ashibe port, and have scooters and other activities for those adventure lovers.
